Señorío de Montanera will present its 100% Iberian acorn-fed sobrasada sausage with honey spheres from the Art Muria forest
Iberian sobrasada that tastes like honey
Señorío de Montanera will present its 100% acorn-fed Iberian sobrasada sausage in a new smaller calibre format to make it easier to consume and preserve its organoleptic characteristics. In order to enhance its flavour, the prestigious pure Iberian meat company from the Dehesa de Extremadura Designation of Origin has partnered Caviaroli to combine its product with spheres of honey from the forest of the of Art Muria craftsmen.
The sobrasada is made with pure Iberian pork loin and jowl, giving it a fine mince and a juicy and uniform texture that’s ideal for spreading. The mixture of spices in its marinade (sweet paprika and hot and sweet ingredients with a hint of salt) and its slow maturation in dryers give it a unique flavour and aroma, typical of natural acorn-fed Iberian products.
Furthermore, the honey pearls with the colour of toast explode in the mouth with a sweet and herbal flavour, making them the ideal pairing for the sobrasada. A tandem that will delight enthusiasts of products with high gastronomic value.
Señorío de Montanera will visit Alimentaria with two other new products: its 100% truffled acorn-fed salchichón sausage in a limited edition, which is also available in an organic version (given three stars at the Great Taste awards), and the combination of 100% Iberian acorn-fed ham with a ceramic plate hand-painted by artist Andrea Zarraluqui, inspired by the birds of the Extremadura pastureland.
