At Alimentaria, Virginias presents its revamped 0% range of products with no added sugar

0% sugar tiramisu nougat

At Alimentaria, Virginias, a leading brand in the sweets sector and in the production of high-quality nougat, will showcase its commitment to a line of products adapted to special nutritional needs: no added sugars, lactose-free, gluten-free and vegan.

This season Virginias will present its new 0% added sugars tiramisu nougat and soft nougat mousse bathed in chocolate, both gluten- and palm oil-free. They join a wide range of products, including traditional nougats such as toasted yolk, and cherries with liqueur, several chocolate bars, Virtanias (bonbons), and orange slices dipped in chocolate.

Innovation is in the firm’s DNA, so in recent years its R&D team has developed formulas with new sweeteners to obtain the same flavours and features while replacing added sugars in its products, thus keeping all their sensory qualities while imbuing them with fibre and slashing the calories in many products by significant percentages.

Over the last few years, Virginias has worked on a series of sophisticated products, such as its Sublime line, including a new umami nougat, and a tangerine nougat, along with their well-known bread with tomato nougat.
